A high-level summary of the FFIS 2019 Conference of Partnerships

The FFIS 2019 Conference of Partnerships brought together both public and private leaders involved in financial information-sharing partnerships from over 20 jurisdictions.

​Across a series of interactive sessions, the Conference aimed to:

• Provide a forum to share experiences and lessons in partnership development;

• Support dialogue around the case for greater alignment between supervisory, financial intelligence and partnership priorities; 

• Highlight developments in technology that have potential to support financial information-sharing and privacy preserving analytics; and 

• Facilitate dialogue about the potential to enhance the effectiveness of relevant cross-border information-sharing, in balance with privacy rights.




Over 14 information-sharing partnerships were represented at the conference, including:

1. The UK Joint Money Laundering Intelligence Taskforce (JMLIT)

2. The Australian Fintel Alliance 

3. The Singapore Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism Industry Partnership (ACIP)

4. Hong Kong Fraud and Money Laundering Intelligence Taskforce (FMLIT)

5. Austrian Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) Initiative

6. The Netherlands Terrorist Financing Taskforce

7. The US FinCEN Exchange

8. The Europol Financial Intelligence Public Private Partnership (EFIPPP)

9. Latvia Cooperation Coordination Group (CCG)

10. Germany Anti Financial Crime Alliance (AFCA)

11. Ireland Joint Intelligence Group (JIG)

12. United for Wildlife - Illegal Wildlife Trade (IWT) Financial Taskforce

13. US 314(b) Financial Information Sharing Partnership

14. A wide range of Canadian "Project" initiatives to combat financial crimes through public/private partnerships
